  3. Add the yeast mixture, egg, and butter to the dry ingredients.
  4. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  7. Punch down the dough and knead in the raisins.
  8. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  9. Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  11. Bake for 40 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  12. Remove from the oven and let it cool before slicing.
