  4. Gradually add the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, and pumpkin pie spice. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  7. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal portions. Shape each portion into a ball.
  8. Place the rolls on a greased baking sheet, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
