  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix well.
  3. Add the sugar and mix until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. If desired, fold in the chopped nuts and raisins.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer the bread to a wire rack to cool completely.
