  4. Place a spoonful of the potato filling onto each circle and fold in half. Press the edges together to seal.
  5. Boil the pierogies in salted water for a few minutes until they float to the surface.
  6. Heat butter in a skillet and fry the pierogies until golden brown.
  7. Serve hot with sautéed onions and sour cream.
