  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt.

  3. Gradually add the ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing with a fork until the dough comes together.
  4. Gather the dough into a ball, flatten it into a disk, and wrap it in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Roll out the chilled dough on a lightly floured surface to fit your pie dish.
  7. Carefully transfer the rolled dough to the pie dish, pressing it gently into the bottom and sides.
  8. Trim any excess dough and crimp the edges as desired.
  9. Fill and bake according to your pie recipe.
