Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking sheet.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, dried herbs, and Parmesan cheese.

Add the cold cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the milk. Stir until just combined.

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently for a minute until it comes together.

Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Cut into 8 equal squares.

Transfer the squares to the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
