  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut the cold butter into small pieces and add it to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the dried cranberries and white chocolate chips.
  7. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it a few times until it comes together.
  8. Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick circle and cut it into 6 wedges.
  9. Place the scones onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let the scones cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before serving.
