  2. Add the egg, vanilla extract, orange zest, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add the flour and mix until the dough comes together.
  4. Shape the dough into a disk, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Grease a mini tart pan.
  7. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and press each portion into the tart pan, forming a crust.
  8. Place a walnut half in each tart shell.
