  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut the cold butter into small cubes and add it to the dry ingredients. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the orange juice, orange zest, heavy cream, and egg.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times to bring it together.
  7. Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick circle and cut it into 8 wedges.
  8. Transfer the scones to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

  10. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, fresh orange juice, and orange zest to make the glaze.
