Orange Apricot Crumb Cake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate bowl, beat eggs, orange zest, and orange juice. Stir into the flour mixture until just combined.

Spread half of the batter into the prepared cake pan. Spoon apricot preserves over the batter. Arrange apricot halves on top. Spread the remaining batter over the apricots.

In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, cinnamon, and pecans. Sprinkle over the top of the cake.

Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
