In another bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and mix well. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until well combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto a greased baking sheet.
