Nutella was created during World War II when cocoa was in short supply, and hazelnuts were added to extend the chocolate supply.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Roll out the puff pastry sheets.

Spread Nutella evenly on each sheet.

Roll up the sheets tightly and cut into 1-inch slices.

Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the rolls with beaten egg.

Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
