  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Dissolve the instant coffee granules in the milk. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the coffee mixture. Mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Once the cake is completely cooled, spread the whipped cream evenly over the surface. Roll up the cake tightly from one short end, using the parchment paper to help. Place the rolled cake seam-side down on a serving platter.
  8. Drizzle the chocolate syrup over the top of the rolled cake. Slice and serve.
