  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Cut the butter into small cubes and add it to the flour mixture. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream and egg. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in the mixed berries.
