  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch (23cm) round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract, orange zest, and orange juice.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the sour cream. Mix until just blended.
  5. Divide the batter in half. Stir the melted chocolate into one half of the batter.
  6. Spoon alternating dollops of the chocolate and vanilla batters into the prepared cake pan. Use a knife to gently swirl the batters together to create a marbled effect.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
