Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a square baking pan.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and dark chocolate together in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture, stirring until well combined.

In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

Fold in the macadamia nuts and milk chocolate chips.

Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Top with the remaining batter.

Bake for 25 minutes or until the edges are set and the center is slightly gooey.

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
