Logozzo’s Chocolate Truffles
Truffles were named after the edible fungi that grow in the ground and have a similar shape.
This is vegetarian and gluten free recipe. Dish can be prepared in 140 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 7.

Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces.

In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and butter over medium heat until it starts to simmer.

Pour the hot cream mixture over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for a minute.

Stir the mixture until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

Add the cocoa powder, vanilla extract, powdered sugar, and salt to the chocolate mixture, and stir until well combined.

Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.

Once the mixture is firm, use a spoon or a small ice cream scoop to portion out the truffles.

Roll each portion into a ball and coat with cocoa powder.

Place the truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for another 30 minutes.
