Linzertorte is one of the oldest known tortes in the world and originated in Linz, Austria.

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, ground almonds, granulated sugar, unsalted butter, egg yolks, lemon zest, and ground cinnamon. Mix well until the dough comes together.
  2. Divide the dough into two portions, one slightly larger than the other. Wrap each portion in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a tart pan with removable bottom.
  4. Roll out the larger portion of the dough and press it into the bottom and sides of the tart pan. Spread the raspberry jam evenly over the dough.
  5. Roll out the smaller portion of the dough and cut it into strips. Arrange the strips in a lattice pattern over the jam.
  6. Sprinkle the sliced almonds over the lattice.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
