Linzer Cookies are named after the Austrian city of Linz, where they originated in the 17th century.

In a bowl, mix together the flour and ground almonds.

In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the egg yolks and lemon zest to the butter mixture and mix well.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix until a dough forms.

Divide the dough in half and shape each half into a disk. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out one disk of dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.

Use a round cookie cutter to cut out cookies and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Repeat with the remaining dough.

Spoon a small amount of raspberry jam onto the center of each cookie.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the cookies are cool, sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
