Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin or line with paper liners.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and poppyseeds.

In a separate large bowl, mix together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the lemon zest and lemon juice.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.

Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.

While the muffins are baking, prepare the lemon glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth.

Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Drizzle the lemon glaze over the cooled muffins.
