Lemon Meringue Bars

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, sugar, flour, and salt. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

In another bowl, whisk together egg yolks, lemon zest, lemon juice, and sweetened condensed milk until well combined. Pour the mixture over the crust.

Bake for 15 minutes or until set. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a clean bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Gradually add powdered sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.

Spread the meringue over the lemon layer, making sure to seal the edges.

Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the meringue is golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it cool completely. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before cutting into bars.
