  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon powder.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, cream the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, alternating with buttermilk. Mix until just combined. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack and let cool completely.
  8. Once cooled, sprinkle the top of the cake with powdered sugar. Serve and enjoy!
