  2. Prepare the sponge cake by mixing the flour, sugar, baking powder, butter, and milk in a bowl. Pour the batter into the baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes.

  4. In a separate bowl, mix the icing sugar, cocoa powder, butter, and milk until smooth.
  5. Dip each cake square into the chocolate icing, making sure it is fully coated.
  6. Roll the coated cake square in desiccated coconut.
  7. Place the lamingtons on a wire rack to set for at least 1 hour before serving.
