  2. Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into small cubes. Boil them until tender, then mash them into a smooth puree.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add the mashed sweet potatoes and warm water to the flour mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
