  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Flatten each ball with the bottom of a glass or a fork.
  8. Bake for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. In a small bowl, mix together the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  10. Spread the peanut butter filling onto the flat side of half of the cookies, then top with the remaining cookies.
