  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a tube pan.
  2. In a large bowl, sift together the cake flour and granulated sugar.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg whites until foamy. Add cream of tartar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the egg whites into the flour mixture. Add vanilla extract and green food coloring, and fold until well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. In a separate bowl, beat the powdered sugar, unsalted butter, and heavy cream until light and fluffy.
  9. Once the cake is completely cooled, spread the frosting over the top and sides of the cake.
