  3. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Bake for 8 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and milk. Pour the mixture into the partially baked pie crust.

  6. Spread the meringue over the pie filling, sealing it to the edges of the crust.
