  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into 6 equal portions.
  7. Roll each portion into a rope and tie it into a knot.
  8. Place the knots on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Melt the butter and mix in the garlic powder. Brush the knots with the garlic butter mixture.
  10. Sprinkle the knots with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
  11. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
