Gingerbread Cupcakes
Gingerbread dates back to the Middle Ages and was originally used for medicinal purposes.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 50 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 15.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin tin or line with cupcake liners.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the molasses, egg, and vanilla extract.

Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.

Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.

Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

In a small bowl, beat together the powdered sugar, cream cheese, and cinnamon until smooth.

Once the cupcakes are completely cool, frost with the cream cheese frosting.
