In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, and salt.

In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla extract.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Gently fold in the diced pears and crystalized ginger.

Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
