  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and granulated sugar. Cut in the unsalted butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in the chopped pecans, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Reserve 1 cup of the mixture for the streusel topping.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla extract. Add the egg mixture to the remaining crumb mixture and mix until well combined.
  6. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  7. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  8. Sprinkle the reserved streusel mixture over the top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 1 hour.
  11. Cut into bars and serve.
