Frosted Banana Bars
Bananas are technically berries and belong to the same family as lilies and orchids.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

In a medium bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually mix in the mashed bananas and dry ingredients until well combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

In a small bowl, beat together the powdered sugar, cream cheese, and milk until smooth.

Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.

Once cooled, frost the bars with the cream cheese frosting and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
