Kellogg’s Rice Krispies were introduced in 1928 and are known for their signature ‘snap, crackle, and pop’ sound when milk is added to them.

  1. In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the marshmallows and butter together in the microwave for about 1 minute.
  2. Stir in the peanut butter until well combined.
  3. Add the Rice Krispies cereal and mix until evenly coated.
  4. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x9 inch baking dish.
  5. In a separate microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave for about 1 minute, stirring every 30 seconds.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal mixture in the baking dish.
  7. Spread the remaining cereal mixture over the top of the chocolate.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until set.
  9. Cut into bars and serve.
