In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.

In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter until warm.

Add the milk mixture, egg, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients.

Stir until a soft dough forms.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.

Roll each piece into a crescent shape and place on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
