Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin or line with muffin liners.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the dried apricots.

Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.

Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.

Remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool in the tin for 5 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the muffins are cool, heat the apricot jam in a small saucepan over low heat until melted. Brush the tops of the muffins with the melted jam.
