Edamame-Stuffed Wontons
Wontons are believed to have originated in China over 1,000 years ago and have since become popular in various Asian cuisines.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 45 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 10.

In a bowl, mix together edamame, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil.

Place a spoonful of the edamame mixture onto each wonton wrapper.

Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water and fold it in half to form a triangle. Press the edges to seal.

In a steamer, steam the wontons for 5 minutes.

Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the steamed wontons until golden brown.

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to make a slurry.

In a separate pan, heat soy sauce and water. Add the cornstarch slurry and cook until thickened.

Serve the fried wontons with the soy sauce mixture as a dipping sauce.
