  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix well.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together vegetable oil, eggs, and water.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Punch down the dough and divide it into 3 equal parts.
  8. Roll each part into a long rope, then braid the ropes together.
  9. Place the braided dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Let the dough rise for another 30 minutes.
  11. Brush the dough with an egg wash (1 beaten egg mixed with 1 tablespoon of water).
  12. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
  13. Let the challah cool before serving.
