  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch (23 cm) springform pan.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
  5. Bake for 40 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  6. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake in the oven for 1 hour.
  7. Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool completely. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
