Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Spoon the batter into a greased donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts are lightly golden.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.

In a shallow bowl, place the powdered sugar. Dip each donut into the powdered sugar, coating all sides.
