  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add Dr Pepper soda, buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack and let it cool completely.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze.
  8. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
