  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine sliced strawberries and granulated sugar. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In a separate microwave-safe bowl, melt butter and white chocolate chips together in the microwave.
  5. Add melted butter mixture, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until well combined.
  6. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans. Smooth the tops with a spatula.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
