  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Spread half of the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  7. In a small bowl, mix together the peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture onto the batter in the pan and spread evenly.
  9. Sprinkle the chocolate chips and chopped peanuts over the peanut butter layer.
  10. Pour the remaining batter over the top and spread evenly.
  11. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
