Double Chocolate Chip Cookies
The first chocolate chip cookie was invented by Ruth Graves Wakefield in 1938 when she added chopped chocolate to a cookie recipe. The recipe was later sold to Nestle, and the chocolate chip cookie became a classic favorite worldwide.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.

Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and milk chocolate chips.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still slightly soft.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
