Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a medium bowl, whisk together almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg and almond extract until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Flatten each ball slightly with the palm of your hand and sprinkle with sliced almonds.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
