  2. Slice the French bread loaf into thick slices, but not all the way through.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together softened butter, minced garlic, and mixed herbs.
  4. Spread the garlic herb butter mixture in between the slices of bread.
  5. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the bread is golden and crispy.
  8. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
