Cream puffs are also known as profiteroles or choux à la crème in French cuisine.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a saucepan, combine water and butter over medium heat until the butter is melted.

Add the flour and stir continuously until the mixture forms a ball.

Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let the puffs cool completely.

Slice the puffs in half horizontally.

Fill each puff with whipped cream.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar and drizzle with vanilla extract.

Place the top half of the puff back on and serve.
