Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a square baking dish.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Add the sugar and mix until well combined.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and vanilla extract. Add the egg mixture to the butter-sugar mixture and mix well.

Gradually add the flour and cocoa powder to the mixture, stirring until just combined.

In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.

Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture on top. Use a knife to swirl the cream cheese into the brownie batter.

Pour the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese mixture. Use a knife to swirl the two batters together.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Remove from the oven and let cool in the baking dish for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, cut into squares and serve.
