In a mixing bowl, cream together butter, powdered sugar, lemon zest, orange zest, vanilla extract, and salt.

Gradually add flour and mix until the dough comes together.

Divide the dough into two equal portions and shape each portion into a disc. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out one portion of the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.

Using a crescent-shaped cookie cutter, cut out crescent shapes from the dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Repeat with the remaining dough.

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.

Allow the crescents to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
