  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle.
  7. Sprinkle cinnamon and chopped dark chocolate evenly over the dough.
  8. Roll up the dough tightly, starting from the long side.
  9. Cut the rolled dough in half lengthwise, exposing the layers.
  10. Twist the two halves together, forming a braided shape.
  11. Place the babka in a greased loaf pan and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  12. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  13. Bake the babka for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown.
  14. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  15. In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar and water to make a glaze.
  16. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled babka.
  17. Slice and serve.
