Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water.

In a separate large bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the melted chocolate, flour, and milk to the egg mixture, whisking continuously until smooth.
